West 44th Street Elevation

East Elevation
Rear Elevation
Located in the historic Hyde Park neighborhood district, the new residence has been designed to comply with the design guidelines associated with the neighborhood. These guidelines in affect ask new residences to blend into the community without mimicking the vintage homes in the area. By stepping back the building's roofs and reducing its massing as it approaches its 44th Street exposure, the home strives to achieve a pedestrian scale. Although a third larger than most homes in the area, this 2,000 square foot residence's architecture combines roof overhangs, large windows, a terrace, balconies and other elements typical of the bungalow vernacular so that it fits into the established neighborhood.
