Freddie's Place

Description:

Freddie’s Place restaurant, located just south of downtown Austin, was a remodel of an existing 3,070sf shell building that was previously occupied by a restaurant. Its existing wood roof rafters and beams were left exposed and became a central part of its design character, to go along with its intended menu of Texas comfort food. The back-lot area, that sits along a creek and shaded with large oak trees, was turned into an outside dining and bar area with multi-level wooden decks, a playscape area, a music stage and fire pit. The interior incorporated an additional music stage and circular fireplace.
