Hatbox

Description:

The modern styled but still traditional hat store, the Hatbox was for a 1,700sf interior finish-out and exterior remodel of a retail tenant shell space in the upscale multiuse development and outdoor shopping mall, The Domain, located in Austin. The exterior finishes incorporated at the sidewalk level include a lightweight metal composite materials (MCM) wall panel system and a frameless glass storefront, for providing a modern touch, contrasted above by the signage cornice’s portland cement plaster band and brick further up. Its large display window and interior display area allows for a wide variety of flexible display arrangements to highlight the haberdashery products sold within as well as allowing window shoppers to view deeply into the store and its other displays within. These include special integrated and arranged custom glass and wood shelves, cabinets, hutches, counters, tables and benches to allow for maximizing the varied array of displays needed for the numerous range and extensive types of hats available.
