Dobie Center

Description:

The Dobie Center remodel project included design services for two of the existing floors of the Dobie Center building located next to the University of Texas campus in Austin. This included new spaces for retail tenants, new common areas, and a new central food court area to accommodate twelve food vendors. For these, design elements and walls were incorporated into the food court's perimeter to bring some uniformity into the space, but at the same time to distinguish for each their own counter frontages and separations. The identity of each of the individual vendor spaces were further enhanced by their own allowable brand and design enhancements. Several unique problems were solved in providing the ventilation systems for each of the vendors kitchen hoods, that had to go through the existing two stories of occupied spaces above to the outside.
